After a week of resting up from our trip things are back to normal again.
We went to see a movie (300) on Saturday. They have assigned seating in the theaters here. Of course, that does not work to our advantage since we are always late. Movies from the U.S. are typically in english with subtitles.
Monday I had the interesting experience of getting my hair cut. I should have at least looked up words in relation to what I wanted, but instead it was a little scary letting a guy who doesn't understand me come near me with scissors. In the end, I did not end up with the 80's layered cut that is so popular here, but a classic 'Deanna bob'.
Wednesday we went to dinner at El Cuartito with our neighbors from upstairs, Zac and Lauren and then to a movie with a couple of their friends. The Buenos Aires Independent Film Festival (Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente) is going on for the next 2 weeks, so it is a great opportunity for us to see some good films. We saw Jesus Camp (http://www.jesuscampthemovie.com/).
The dogs and I gearing up for a walk to get ice cream.
Me sporting my new 'do.
Great pizza here.
Inside - lots of porteños getting pizza and watching fútbol on the t.v.
Another view - lots of boxing posters..
Lauren took this pic of Ave. 9 de Julio - always traffic downtown.
